New Jersey Symphony to Present Free Holiday Concert at Newark Penn Station
“Music in Motion” returns with seasonal classics during the evening rush hour on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
A free holiday performance by the Emmy and GRAMMY Award-winning New Jersey Symphony Chamber Players will greet travelers at Newark Penn Station on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Taking place inside the station’s Waiting Room from 4:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., this festive event is part of NJ TRANSIT’s “Music in Motion” concert series.
“Music in Motion” began in 2004 as part of NJ TRANSIT’s 25th Anniversary celebration, paused during the pandemic, and recently resumed on September 26, 2024, with a New Jersey Symphony Chamber Players performance at Hoboken Terminal. The program aims to highlight community-based music, featuring local musicians performing in transit station facilities.
