Electioneering Distance – New 200 ft Rule
Governor Murphy signed S-3850 (P.L. 2025 c.92) on July 8th, giving county boards of elections discretion to extend the distance within which electioneering is prohibited. Previously, electioneering was barred inside polling locations, within 100 feet of entrances, and within 100 feet of ballot drop boxes. The Morris County Board of Elections has extended this distance to 200 feet, effective immediately.
