Road Closings and Schedule for Milling & Paving (September 22 – October 3, 2025)

The Town of Morristown will be conducting milling and paving work between September 22 and October 3, 2025. Streets scheduled for work during this period include Belleview Terrace, Blachley Place, Cleveland Street, Columba Street, Dumont Place, Elm Street, Ford Avenue, Franklin Street, Grant Street, Longview Place, Overlook Road, Pine Street, Sherman Place, Shenandoah Place, Tuxedo Place, Wastewater Treatment Plant (rear), Western Avenue, Wisteria Terrace, and Woodlawn Drive.

Next week, as part of scheduled, annual roadway maintenance, multiple roadways in Morristown will be milled and resurfaced. Several of these roadways are highly trafficked and will create significant traffic congestion on the days they are affected by the resurfacing operation. The Morristown Engineering Department has devised a schedule that seeks to maximize the efficiency of the resurfacing operation while minimizing the impact on residents, businesses, and commuters. Even with this thoughtful management of the schedule, we anticipate significant delays and congestion to occur in the central business district and affected communities during the operation.
