Mendham Borough Hosts Essential Food Pantry Collection and Winter Coat Drive

Residents Encouraged to Donate Food and Coats at Department of Public Works on November 18 for Community Aid

Mendham, NJ - In a compassionate response to those in need, the Borough of Mendham is organizing a significant Food Pantry Collection and Winter Coat Drive. This event is slated for Saturday, November 18, 2023, inviting community members to partake in a day of giving.

The Chester-Mendham Food Pantry has highlighted a specific list of needed items, though all contributions are welcome. The requested items include essentials like chili, stew, pancake mix, and various condiments, alongside personal hygiene products such as shampoo, toothpaste, and deodorant. Donors are reminded to ensure that all food items are within their expiration dates.

This charitable initiative will be held at the Mendham Department of Public Works, located at 37 Ironia Road, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Alongside food items, the borough is also collecting new or gently used coats, providing warmth to those facing cold weather challenges.

This event represents a significant opportunity for residents of Mendham and surrounding areas to make a tangible difference in the lives of their neighbors. By contributing to the food pantry and coat drive, community members can directly aid those facing food insecurity and the harshness of winter.

The Borough of Mendham and the Chester-Mendham Food Pantry encourage all who are able to contribute, reinforcing the community spirit and mutual support that defines Mendham.
