Table of Hope Food distributions around Morris County offers fresh groceries at no cost to families in need.

The latest food distribution will take place today, August 25 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM behind Bethel Church of Morristown, 59 Spring Street.

Table of Hope has been hard at work throughout the pandemic and continues to serve food insecure families throughout Morris County. With Table of Hopes mobile food pantry, they have served over 29,000 families through July 2022.

Additionally, Table of Hopes soup kitchen has served over 9,000 meals, through July, to individuals, families, seniors, and veterans.

Table of Hope is a place where hope starts and the community gathers to share.”

Table of Hope was established in 2013 serving dinner 5 nights a week. This program was created in response to the generosity of the Morris County community along with a donor who made a significant contribution to rebuilding the fellowship hall and kitchen of Bethel Church of Morristown after the devastation of Hurricane Irene.

With the monetary donation, the fellowship hall was renovated, and the kitchen expanded and transformed into a commercial kitchen so to serve more families in need.

Table of Hope is open to anyone in need of a “warm meal and a smile.” It has become a place where “hope starts, and the community gathers to share.”

Table of Hope comes from Spring Street Community Development Corporation, an organization “with the mission to improve quality of life for Morris County families by addressing economic, educational, and social needs while preserving the cultural and ethnic diversity of the area.”

The mobile food pantry distributes free meals weekly throughout Morris County. Grab a To-Go meal from 5:30-7:30 PM, Monday – Friday at no cost. Stop by the side ramp entrance on Bishop Nazery Way for a free, warm meal.

Reminder: Bring your own bag to food distribution locations. Unlike the warm meals offered, the free food distribution will give away loose groceries. You’ll need a bag to get that food home!

Set up bags or boxes in the trunk of your car, if you have one, so teams at distribution locations can load your groceries faster.

The groceries provided to each individual/family have a retail value of approximately $70 per set of groceries.

Also, Morristown distribution locations will be offering free COVID vaccines every Thursday along with food distribution.
